My partner and I collect design pieces and this obsidian platter holds its own alongside items twice its price. The volcanic glass surface is mirror-black and the gold-leafed scalloped edge adds just the right touch of opulence. We used it for a cheese course and the dark backdrop made everything pop.

Beautifully made, food-safe, and heavy enough to feel substantial without being impractical. The obsidian surface is sealed perfectly — easy to clean after use. No over-the-top branding, just beautiful craftsmanship.

Love everything about this — the obsidian, the gold edge, the size. My only suggestion would be to include care instructions in the box. I wasn't sure if it was dishwasher-safe (it's not) and had to contact support to ask. They were very helpful, but a small card would save the step.
